Growing Together
About Alexis
Hi, I’m Alexis Gentry, LCSW — a therapist, parent coach, and mom. I’m passionate about helping families find more calm, confidence, and connection in everyday life. With certifications in Perinatal Mental Health and Positive Discipline, I support parents through therapy, coaching, and workshops that are practical, compassionate, and values-driven. Whether you’re preparing for postpartum, navigating toddler tantrums, or balancing family life, I’m here to remind you: you don’t have to do this alone.
Client Experiences

"What stands out most is how relatable Alexis is and how easy she is to talk to and bounce ideas off of. She makes the sessions feel really comfortable and nonjudgmental. The way she is able to use her own personal experiences to validate and teach is really helpful too. It’s definitely what every struggling parent wants to feel in a session when talking about their own reactions and challenges with their kiddos!"

Class Participant
After the class our family has been more connected, calmer and have had more conversations.
Your child isn’t giving you a hard time — they’re having a hard time.
In this workshop, I’ll teach you how the developing brain actually drives your child’s
toughest behaviors and give you a set of practical tools to respond in ways that build connection
and long-term skills. No shame, no scripts that don’t work. Just brain science, Positive Discipline,
and real tools you can use right away.
April 29th - 11am PST on Zoom. Link will be sent upon registration.
The presentation will be grounded in brain science and child development and will balance education with practical tools. Topics will include:
What’s happening in young children’s brains and nervous systems
Why regulation and co-regulation are foundational for learning, behavior, and emotional growth
How adult responses can either escalate or support children during challenging moments
A Positive Discipline framework that supports both connection and boundaries
Concrete, age-appropriate tools parents can use right away at home
My goal is for parents to leave feeling more confident, less overwhelmed, and with a clearer understanding of why certain behaviors show up at this age and how to respond in ways that actually help.
